Project FAQs
If the cabinet change affects the vanity waste, trap, tapware connections, or shut-off valves, it’s worth having a licensed plumber handle it. For this Burleigh Heads cabinet replacement, DCM completed the plumbing and drainage work to ensure everything connected neatly and functioned properly.
Yes, cabinet swaps often mean the new unit doesn’t line up with existing water points or the waste outlet. DCM can modify supply lines and wastes so the new cabinet fits cleanly without awkward offsets or strain on fittings.
For many vanity/cabinet changes, water isolation is usually limited to the time it takes to disconnect and reconnect the tapware and waste. DCM’s booking system includes a confirmed appointment window and you’ll get a call shortly before arrival, so you can plan around the downtime.
After reconnection, the plumber will check for leaks at the tap connections, traps and waste joins, and confirm drainage is running as it should. DCM also includes a plumbing safety-style check as part of the visit approach noted on the main site.
Costs depend on whether it’s a straight swap or if pipework/drain positions need modification. DCM’s approach is flat rate / upfront pricing, so you’re clear on the cost before work proceeds.

Service was excellent. Prompt response, honest and sensible advice, top of the line equipment (in my untrained opinion). Professional, knowledgeable, articulate, friendly company rep (although he is the boss). Right from the first phone call and then the follow-up call to let me know he was on the way the service was excellent. My original motivation was pricing but the service was excellent beyond that. I will be using you guys again and I will be recommending you to others. Thank you.

Our property management team has worked with DCM Plumbing for a number of years now. We keep using their services because they’re reliable and get the job done without hassle while being respectful to our tenants. Finding tradies who respond to job orders in a timely way and having a back office team who can actually answer any follow-up questions we have isn’t always easy to find on the Gold Coast, but DCM has been a great partner in helping us deliver excellent service for our landlords and tenants.

In my dealings with DCM Plumbing I have found them to be prompt and thorough in their investigations. They have managed to find the problem, especially leaks, when other contractors have failed. They will fix the issue whilst onsite with competitive pricing and provide their recommendations to rectify any further issue they feel may occur. Unless directed otherwise by my body corporates, they are my first option for plumbing issues.

Carl was great to work with - happy and engaged and talked me through the process and what he was doing to fix the problem. Didn’t leave until he was sure he’d done all he could to fix the problem.
