A licensed plumbing subcontractor that finishes on time and keeps the site running
Plumbing on a build site is rarely the headline trade, but it can stop everything if it is done badly. Late rough-in delays the slab. A missed fit-off date holds up tilers, cabinet makers and handover. Missing compliance documentation can leave a certificate stuck on someone’s desk.
DCM Plumbing offers construction plumbing services for Gold Coast builders, project managers and fit-out contractors. We’re the plumbers you can put on your preferred subcontractor list and trust to turn up, work to your program, and finish without a list of avoidable extras.
We started life on the Gold Coast doing plumbing exclusively for new home builds, so this is the work we know best. We are a family-run team servicing the region since 2002, QBCC licensed (1197459), insured for plumbing, drainage and gas, and members of Master Plumbers Queensland.

How we support builders, project managers and site teams
Our Gold Coast construction plumbing services are for the people running the build, not the homeowner moving in at the end of it.
Who we work with
We work with Gold Coast residential builders (including boutique and custom home builders), commercial fit-out contractors, project managers, designers and developers running multi-stage jobs.
The frustrations we hear most often from this audience are familiar: subbies who do not turn up when promised, plumbers who go quiet on email, surprise variations that blow the budget, missing compliance paperwork at handover, and trades stepping on each other’s work because nobody is talking to the site supervisor. Our role is to remove that friction, behave like part of your site team, and make sure plumbing is one less thing on your daily list.
If you also handle ongoing maintenance work on completed properties, our real estate plumbing and body corporate plumbing teams pick up where the build finishes.
What we handle on builds and fit-outs
Our construction site plumbing on the Gold Coast covers the full plumbing, drainage and gas scope for new home builds, and a tailored scope for fit-outs and renovation projects.
That includes pre-tile rough-in for bathrooms, ensuites, kitchens and laundries, post-tile fit-off of tapware, mixers, toilets, baths, showers and appliances, sewer and stormwater drainage installation, gas line installation and gas appliance connection, hot water system supply and install, water service connections, and backflow prevention where the site requires it.
For commercial fit-outs we also tackle larger water and gas runs and equipment connections. To see examples of new home build work we have completed across the Coast, take a look at our projects portfolio.
Working to your program and coordinating with other trades
The biggest reason builders stick with us is that we plan around your program rather than ours. We agree dates for rough-in and fit-off up front, communicate with the site supervisor before and after each visit, and coordinate with the other trades who depend on us, tilers needing rough-in finished and pressure tested, waterproofers needing penetrations sealed correctly, electricians sharing wall cavities, cabinet makers needing accurate setouts, and gas appliance suppliers needing the gas line ready.
If the program shifts, we shift with it where we can. The point is to keep the build moving, not protect a calendar.
Compliance, certification and documentation at handover
Every one of our plumbers is QBCC licensed and insured for plumbing, drainage and gas work. We work to current Australian standards and liaise with the local Council where inspections and approvals are required as part of the build.
At completion we provide the documentation you need for handover, including a gas compliance certificate where gas work has been involved, and the relevant water and drainage compliance paperwork for the plumbing work we have completed.
The aim is to leave you with a clean file, not chasing certificates after the client has moved in.
Quoting, communication and how we keep your job easy to manage
For build work we quote upfront before the job starts, with the scope clearly broken down so you know what is included and what is variation territory. During the job, our site plumbers communicate directly with your supervisor, and our office team handles the back-and-forth on emails, scheduling and approvals so you are not forwarding messages back and forth all day.
If a variation is genuinely needed, we will flag it with a written quote before proceeding rather than tacking it onto the final invoice. Itemised invoicing and clear paperwork at handover come standard.

What affects the cost of new build and fit-out plumbing
Pricing on industrial plumbing services on the Gold Coast and residential build work depends on;
- The scope of plumbing, drainage and gas required, the size and layout of the property
- The fixtures and tapware specified, the connections required to street services
- Whether weekend or after-hours work is needed to suit the program
- Whether any compliance certification forms part of the scope.
We quote upfront at reasonable industry rates so you can plan the job on a realistic budget. We are honest about pricing from the start so the project does not blow out with continual extras at the end.

Construction Plumbing FAQs
Yes. We agree dates up front, plan our schedule around your program, and confirm with the site supervisor before and after each visit. If the program shifts, we will adjust where we can. The aim is for plumbing not to be the trade that holds up tiling, fit-off or handover.
Yes. Both are core parts of what we do on residential new builds and renovation fit-outs. Our plumbers run rough-in to the setouts agreed with the builder, pressure test before tiling, and return for fit-off when the wet areas, cabinetry and appliances are ready.
Yes. Trade coordination is a big part of getting a build through cleanly. We talk to the trades who depend on our work and the trades whose work we depend on, particularly waterproofers and tilers in wet areas and cabinet makers and appliance suppliers at fit-off. If something is unclear on site, our plumber will raise it with the supervisor rather than push on and create a rework problem later.
Yes. We are familiar with local Council inspection and approval processes for plumbing and drainage work and will book inspections and provide the necessary information when the build requires it. This keeps the build moving without the supervisor having to chase the plumbing side of compliance.
At handover we provide the relevant water and drainage compliance paperwork for the plumbing work we have completed, plus a gas compliance certificate where gas work has been part of the project. The aim is to leave the file clean for handover to the client without certificates outstanding.
Our standard hours are 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday, but we can negotiate other hours including weekends if a project requires it, and we run 24/7 cover for genuine on-site emergencies. If your program needs out-of-hours work to keep tiling or handover dates, talk to us early so we can plan it in.
Cost depends on the scope of plumbing, drainage and gas, the size and layout of the property, the fixtures and tapware specified, the connections to street services, whether weekend or after-hours work is needed to suit the program, and whether compliance certification forms part of the scope.
We quote upfront at reasonable industry rates and flag any genuine variations in writing before proceeding so the final invoice does not become an argument.
