Shower problems can come from a blocked waste (water backing up), a leaking breach (pipework inside the wall), or failed waterproofing. We recommend further testing to confirm the cause, especially when water shows up in adjoining rooms or below in multi-level homes.
We often see leaking taps/shower heads and blocked waste pipes that cause water to overflow onto the bathroom floor. Those symptoms can be early warning signs that repairs, or a renovation, may be the best long-term fix.
Not always. There are typically two access options: remove a small section of shower wall tiles to reach the pipework, or (where possible) access from behind the shower to avoid tile-matching issues.
Yes, if the shower renovation involves waterproofing changes or a rebuild, you’ll likely need a tiler/waterproofer alongside the plumber (and sometimes a builder if the layout changes).
